I've tried uninstalling the toolbar and reinstalling but nothing seems to work, even trying to refresh the toolbar doesn't work as the small icon is greyed out.

This is the second time this has happened in about 3 months. Just happened again today--plus I can't use the search window on Yahoo toolbar either.

Click on: Tools Add-ons Yahoo toolbar Options Toolbar Settings Skins Change your skin (or choose one if you "none" is selected. I don't know why you have to have a skin, but this is the only way I was able to get my apps back and my Yahoo toolbar working correctly.
