3.6.15 Installation Error

more options

I believe that the patch from 3.6.14 to 3.6.15 crashed during the installation. When I tried to uninstall 3.6.14 from the controlpanel it reported an error and said it could not find the application. When I try to install 3.6.15 from scratch I get a window asking if I want to install as the current user or an Administrator. I have administrative privliges, but that doesn't seem to matter as the installation fails immediatly. I do have an administrative password, but the screen insists on a password. I am hosed either way. Currently using IE but not crazy about it.

Yes, I have tried to install the update, and even a full install of 3.6.15, but does not work. I even tried to install a previous version of Firefox, but now it is not possible to get Firefox running. I am running Sony VGN-Z540, 2GB RAM, Win7 Pro.

It is interesting that I can still use Firefox on some sites, but others crash it immediately. For example I am viewing this in Firefox and when I check the Help menu it is still trying to download 3.6.15.
