The newest download for my computer was 3.6.16. Apparently 4.o does not work on non Intel based systems. I am concerned about security using 3.6.16. Does anyone know if it is safe to use this one?

Firefox 3.6.16 is fully updated with security patches. Mozilla will continue to support Firefox 3.6 for some time after the release of Firefox 4.
