google gears not working after updating to firefox 4,so now i am unable to use certain features like gmail offline.can anyone help me reslove this.

google gears extension in firefox says not compatible.I think the main problem is firefox 4 supports html 5 whereas google gears does not.has anyone managed to fix this problem and make google gears work ,so that certain features like gmail offline can be used.i know there are other clients like thunderbird ,outlook but gmail offline is better and has offline documents as well now. so,any solutions anyone.

I temporary solved it by using 'Google Gears' services with IE through IE Tab +.
