The new downgrade slowed me down 50%. I want the old one back.
I downloaded the new Firefox version this morning, and everything changed. Opening a Web site became painfully slow. I wait, and I wait, and I wait. Scrolling up and down a page slowed to a crawl. If I select something I have to hold the mouse button down for seconds before the action kicks in. On one of my mutual fund daily price tables, the last few funds have been lopped off. One of my funds is there so I can no longer follow it. At the bottom of the table there is text superimposed over everything, obscuring some of the listings. I haven't checked my other fund firms, and I fear what I will find there. I've now got four address bars at the top of my screen instead of the two I had before, taking up too much space. What a mess. I want to go back to where I was.

To downgrade to Firefox 3.6 first uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data". If you select that option it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.
You can then install the latest version of Firefox 3.6 available from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html - it will automatically use your current bookmarks, passwords etc.
To avoid possible problems with downgrading, I recommend going to your profile folder and deleting the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Deleting these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, checking their compatibility, and reset toolbar customizations.

Everything is so slow on 4.0. It's really bad. I have a MAC tower Intel with 8 GB of RAM and everything is slow. Typing, Scrolling, loading, certain tables are busted. WOW-a colossal fail. Can't blame this on malware- I only have YOONO as an extension too
