Can I anchor the downloads window to the bottom of the screen or get the old downloads bar back?

I do a lot of file downloading and found the Firefox downloads bar at the bottom of the FF window very convenient. With 4.0.1 it has been replaced with a floating "download window" which is either on top of what I'm doing or hidden behind another window where progress can't can't be seen. Is there some way to anchor this window to the bottom of the FF window, or better, get the old downloads bar back?
