1password is an application that allows users to provide one password as a way of accessing multiple password-protected web sites. Until I downloaded the latest version of Firefox the 1password icon appeared in the bar at the top of the Firefox browser so that I could engage it when asked to submit a password. Now the icon is not visible and thus I cannot use the application without leaving firefox.

1password may be incompatible with Firefox 4 or it may just not be displaying an icon for some reason. In any case, you should probably consult 1password support and only come here if you have exhausted that resource.

I guess it was too easy for you to simply suggest the other organization was responsible although, as I said, it worked fine with the earlier edition. Another way to approach this....if you had been willing to take a few moments, would have been for you to either contact 1password or try to run their program on Firefox yourself. But....of course....that was too much to ask!

I'm sorry if you think my reply was unhelpful, but the fact is is that it most likely is a problem with 1password. Since I'm a Firefox helper, not a 1password helper, the best I can do is refer you to their support. The reason it worked fine with whatever version of Firefox you had running before is that the 1password program on your computer was designed to work with that version of Firefox. When you updated Firefox, 1password probably wasn't compatible with Firefox anymore, which would cause it to mess up.
