Since the update to Firefox 5.0 the Norton toolbar quite working and until this is fixed I will no longer use Firefox as I no longer have web security through my Norton program.

Norton doesn't support Beta version web browsers, Firefox 5.0 hasn't been released yet - you have a Beta version. You probably installed a 4.0 Beta and are on the Beta Channel for updates. Open this menu item - Help > About Firefox and use the Change hyperlink to switch to the Release Channel.

Stick with the release versions of Firefox, and don't upgrade to a new release version of Firefox until you have checked with Norton to verify that they have gotten around to supporting the new version. It took them 2 months to update their crap for Firefox 4.0 and a few days later Firefox 4.0.1 came out that their crap stopped working again. Incompetent clown programmers or managers to allow that to occur. That was like 4 weeks ago and I don't know if they have fixed that problem yet.
