I downloaded flashplayer to watch vidio clip while using Windows Browser. If I try to watch clip using Firefox told to down load flashplayer, but then told to shut firefox to enable download? What do you recommend?

There are 2 versions of Flash; one specifically for IE (ActiveX version) and one for most other browsers including Firefox (Plugin version). You always need to separately update both. You do not have the Plugin version for Firefox installed.

Do this:

  • using Firefox, go to this address and save the download to your hard drive: get.adobe.com/flashplayer Save the file to Desktop; easier to find.
  • after the download is finished, close Firefox (Firefox button > Exit or File > Exit)
  • click or double-click on the file you downloaded and saved
  • on the install window for Flash, check the box "I have read and agree"
  • click on the Install button that lit up after the previous step
  • using Firefox, go to this address to test: http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
