Since updating to Firefox 6 beta, some English text is rendered in the Devanagari (Hindi style) font. This seems random but happens enough to be a real problem. I downloaded the non-beta user version, but the problem persists. I have not found relevant information for fixing this problem. I only have English set up as a desired text in Firefox preference. I have disabled Devanagari, Sanskrit, and Hindi fonts on my computer.

Unfortunately, this doesn't work. These screen shots show the type of problem. In the first, the dropcap comes across as devanagari. In the second, the warning text for an upgrade of WordPress comes across in the Devanagari font, though the words are actually English.

Correction. I downloaded fontnuke from one of the sites you listed, ran the program, and things are back to normal. Many thanks, cor-el.

Correction of the Correction: fontnuke solved the problem for only about an hour. I still have devanagari fonts displaying at the oddest of times and places.

I have two options at this point, one is to download a pre 6.o version, the other is to try the 7.0 beta. Any other suggestions?
