I have been using safari on mac recently, but needed to download a file in Firefox. It downloaded fine and appears in the download list, but I can't seem to open or access it. Just don't know how to I suppose! Help much appreciated ; )

What do I need to do to open the downloaded file? It appears that stuff downloaded via safari is in one file and downloads via Firefox are in another.

Is "Open containing Folder" grayed if you right-click that file in the Download Manager?

Thanks for your help. I fired Firefox up in safe mode; disabled the programmes I had on there and then I was able to retrieve my downloads from the download list.

Many thanks. Have a great day )
