How do I turn off Firefox updates?

more options

I updated Firefox about a month ago and ever since then, it continually keeps asking me to update it again. Is there any way to turn that off? I'm sorry I updated the last time because it seems to crash a lot more than before.

You can change your automatic update settings under

orange Firefox button or Tools menu > Options > Advanced

However, I think rather than fear Firefox 7, it would make more sense to upgrade and then work with the volunteers here to solve the crashing problem. Otherwise, you have both an insecure browser AND crashing, which isn't an ideal situation.

Thanks very much. Until I upgraded to the 6.0 verison a month ago, I rarely had any problems as opposed to now. I'm not sure which version I previously had, but I'm kind of gun shy now when it comes to upgrades.

I asked this before and can't get a reply  :( I downloaded the new version 7 of firefox. When I click it the hourglass come on like it's trying to connect but doesn't. Anyone out there able to help me figure why this is happening. Version 6 works but not 7.  :(
