updated from firefox 3.6.12 to firefox 4, then 5 then 7,

problem 1: cannot read images [e.g. on facebook] while I run FF 5/7 on windows XP platform, no such problem on Mac OS [snow leopard / lion]

problem 2: keep having adobe flash plugin crash despite followed ALL suggested procedures, including uninstall then reinstall, forcing me revert back to FF 3.6.12 [experience this on Mac snow leopard only]

You can use these steps to check if images are blocked:

  • Click the "More Information" button to open the "Page Info" window with the Security tab selected (also accessible via "Tools > Page Info").
  • Go to the Media tab of the "Tools > Page Info" window.
  • Select the first image link and scroll down through the list with the Down arrow key.
  • If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "Block Images from..." then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.
