If FireFox 8.0.1 has been released, why does my computer say it is up to date when I click on Help About FireFox?

I am wondering why my computer says it is up to date. I have FireFox 8.0 loaded and my son just went from 7.0 to 8.0.1 and cant bring up his browser. Yet, when I go to http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/ 8.0.1 will be loaded. 11/23/2011

Current Firefox 8 installations on Windows OS's aren't getting the 8.0.1. Windows users with older versions of Firefox are getting the 8.0.1 update.

If you are having a problem with Firefox 8.0 crashing, install the 8.0.1 version; otherwise, if you aren't having a crashing problem don't install the updated version.
