Files larger than 1740bytes can`t be retrieve from Firefox12 cache folders in Windows7.The folders can store single maximum file size 1740bytes only?
I can`t retrieve flv files(YouTube video) larger than 1740bytes from cache folders of Firefox12 in Windows7, cause each time I search through the folders, I can only find files with single maximum file size 1740bytes, and YouTube flv video files are definitely larger than that. So how can I retrieve single YouTube video file from cache? But Firefox12 doesn`t have this problem occur in WindowsXP. By the way, what is the single maximum file size in cache folders of Firefox12?

This is just starting to surface more on the Web. This appears not to be a browser problem, as it's happening in my Opera and IE too. Apparently You Tube has decided not to let us collect it's videos any more and is dicing them up into 1,740kb files to somehow be reconstructed with it's own codes when needed for playing. Also others are remarking that if you pause a video it doesn't go on pre-loading like it used to---but for a short distance. Probably it is pre-loading only a 1,740 segment at a time and won't even load them all unless you watch the whole thing.

To get around this downloaded the program video cache view and run it or should allow you to view and save any video in your cache regardless of size you will need to search though as it doesn't give them meaningful names just search by size and yellow and you should find the files your looking for
It is usually better to use an extension to save FLV files. Firefox may be using the memory cache instead of the disk cache for such files or the files may get streamed and not cached at all.
