I continue to get an error message when I go to most websites, and videos on websites will not play.
I think it has something to do with the Adobe update I just installed. Internet Explorer works fine still, so I think it is a problem with Firefox. See the error message below: Microsoft Visual C + + Runtime Library Assertion Failed! Program: ... File: common\npn_gate.cpp Line: 267 Expression: pPluginShim see Visual C + + documentation on asserts (Press Retry to debug application - JIT must be enabled)

I don't recognize that particular message, but there are some issues with Flash 11.3. Please check whether anything in this article is helpful: Flash 11.3 doesn't load video in Firefox.

You are awesome!!! Thank you so much.
I keep trying to find the reply but see nothing when I click on "read more!" I have had Firefox for at least 2 years. Only problem came up when they wanted to update & message stated that it would not include my Norton Bar with it's many helps... Finally, during the night sometime, they went ahead & updated & that is where the problem began. As soon as I would open Firefox, I would get a message "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library...file: common/npn_gate. cpp, Line 267, Express pPlug in Shim. Says to see Visual C++ documentation on asserts. I would get 6 to 7 of these error messages & have to shut down. Please...I am 70 years old, have Fibromyalgia & I have spent the last hour trying to find help. I have had to go back to Internet Explorer which I do not like. Please, please, give me an easy answer that I can do to get my browser back. My e-mail address is on my sign-in, but I can give you this one too: judiejudiejudith@yahoo.com. I probably know a little more then people my age do about the computer, but am lost when it comes to these things. Will appreciate your help so much. Thank you!! Judie310
