My father's computer is an old Dell laptop, which runs Windows XP, eventually support will cease for his laptop, and it cannot be upgraded to the newer Windows versions, it's designed only for Windows XP, so I wanted to save his laptop by installing Xubuntu 12.04. So he wanted to first try it out on my Desktop, but he didn't like it much because his Facebook games, such as Candy Crush Saga, Chefville, CityVille, Bubble Safari, runs slower than on his laptop. I heard from Ubuntu forums that Adobe is not upgrading the Flash Player, and has instead implemented the latest Flash Player on Google Chrome on Linux instead, so that would explain the slowness of such heavy Flash games on Firefox

I heard Firefox has a project ongoing called Project Shumway, so I'm hopeful that would replace Adobe Flash Player for Linux users who are loyal to Firefox, because I've tried Google Chrome and Chromium, it sucked completely, I got a headache setting it up, settings and such, Firefox is way easier to use. Would Shumway be able to play Facebook games created by Zynga and King.com? Like Candy Crush Saga, Chefville, CityVille, Bubble Safari?

Shumway is experimental and not nearly ready for use. At this point, the only solution for Linux users is to use Firefox with Flash 11.2

Please note that your Windows xp computer will be having support for at least another year, as support ends April, 2014.

Thanks for the reply, but that didn't answer my question, I was simply asking the capabilities of Shumway.

Would Shumway be able to play Facebook games like Candy Crush Saga, Chefville, CityVille, Bubble Safari?
