New Firefox has installed all bookmarks from a saved html except the toolbar ones (which are the ones I need).
I saved my bookmarks in an html file before creating a new profile (Firefox was freezing and crashing and all sorts).
I made a new profile and imported the html file, and all the bookmarks were imported EXCEPT the toolbar ones, which are the only ones I really need.
When I look in the html file I see the toolbar bookmarks are missing - I don't know why it did not save them with the rest (do you?)
How can I restore the toolbar bookmarks.

Further info:
Although the toolbar list is empty, and there are no bookmarks on the toolbar this just happened.
I went to a website that I use a lot, and began to make a new toolbar bookmark for it. To my surprise, firefox offered the abbreviation that I always use - so it DOES know about this bookmark...
but if it does, why does it not show it? And how had I restore the bookmarks?
(PS I had the devil's own job registering for this forum. It would not recognise my old account details, so I rest my password - many times. Even when I got the message that the reset had been successful, and typed in the reset password I had only seconds before created it was rejected. I had to make a new account with another email address to get here. This is not great, obviously... could it also be part of the problem?)
And again - I now SAVED that bookmark which firefox found...
but it has not appeared in the toolbar menu, or on the toolbar itself.
What can be happening?
Thanks
