Hiya,

I have a laptop at home that I have been using for years. Obviously I have saved up loads and loads of saved passwords. I have set up Firefox sync here. On my computer at work, I have just paired the sync with my account. Its has downloaded all my info successfully and I have placed a master password on all my saved password just in case.

My question is though, for added security, is there a way in which every time I open Firefox, sync will access my information but then immediately after I close Firefox it just deletes all my data off the PC's hard drive? ie is there a way to not save any info on the is PC's hard disk but access my details from the home comp?

Thanks, William

No, Firefox Sync doesn't work in that manner. Anything you sync yo your work computer will stay there unless you delete that data everyday.

IMO, a better solution would be to use Portable Firefox on a USB stick for your work PC. No data will be loaded on your work PC; everything will be on the USB stick instead. When you eject the USB stick your Firefox data will be in your possession, nothing will remain on the PC where it was used.

Firefox Sync will work between your home PC and the USB installed "portable" version.
