why the shortcut look
This is a combination of a question and comment. I did not see a short cuts section so I am entering this under bookmarks.
First of all when I went on my phone today I noticed that my shortcut icons displayed a Firefox logo which is fine I guess, but then I noticed that it also says Firefox under the logo. This is unacceptable as it defeats the identification factor of a shortcut on my Galaxy 4 Android phone.
To tell you the truth I actually like it when I have a mini preview of the page on the screen as a shortcut, but I don't even get that on Explorer anymore.
Wondering why it is that you have Firefox written underneath the shortcuts. Seems like over self-promotion. Would really would like things back as before- hope this is temporary.
It is only this big of a deal because my my phone is my computer and I only have Internet access on my phone.
Resolution of this seemingly small matter would be appreciated.

Hello,
I am not totally sure that I understand what you are asking about. Just to check - when you say 'shortcut' do you mean a bookmark that you have added to your device's home screen? As per the support article here:
How do I add a bookmark to my devices home screen
If so then (as you can see with DuckDuckGo in the screenshots) the name of the icon on your home screen should be the name of the bookmark you have added. It shouldn't say Firefox.
If this is what is happening then there is a problem. Please check that you are using the latest version of Firefox (v24) and update if not. If that doesn't help then I suggest uninstalling Firefox and then installing again. Please note that this will wipe all of your personal data (bookmarks etc). If you are using Firefox Sync to keep your bookmarks synchronised with a PC then this should be ok because the data will sync back over once you reinstall Firefox.
If I've misunderstood the question could you please post a screenshot of the problem. Once you've got the image, attach the saved screenshot file to your forum post by clicking the Browse... button below the Post your reply box.
Thanks.
