I am an actionscript developer. I am trying to debug my app. However, if I sit an investigate any issue for too long, the flash player crashes and I lose the connection to the debugger.

Is there any way to increase the timeout for the flashplayer in firefox? BTW I don't have this problem in chrome. Normally a box would pop up asking me if I want to close flash because it is taking too long to respond, and I can say no. But with firefox it just crashes.

Recent crashes of certain multimedia contents (this includes Youtube videos, certain flash games and other applications) in conjunction with Firefox are most probably caused by a recent Flash update and/or a malfunctioning browser plugin such as Real Player.

None of those helped me. The problem is not that any code is out of date, the problem is that while I am debugging the code is paused. This causes firefox to think that Flash has "stopped responding". I need a way to turn off the warning, or tell firefox to not check for a timeout while debuging.

The Adobe Flash plugin has crashed - Prevent it from happening again article in particular is not helpful at all. It doesn't tell me how to prevent it from crashing, only to update the flash player.

Chrome has a "continue" option whenever it detects a timeout.
