Hi Jedij585!!! This is DaveCmozilla. I see you that when you try to log into your web mail server that the sending of your password is rejected by the following mail server. Does this message display when trying to log in?

"This Connection is Untrusted."

When I clicked that link, [[pop-server.rochester.rr.com|, I then went to "Technical Details" and found this error:

"pop-server.rochester.rr.com uses an invalid security certificate"

The Ssl_Error_Bad_Cert_Domain error occurs in the Mozilla Firefox browser when the website SSL certificate isn’t recognized due to a few SSL settings not configured on the browser.

Here's how to get rid of this error.

Click “Tools” from the top menu in Mozilla Firefox and select “Options.”

Click the “Advanced” icon.

Click the “Encryption” tab.

Click the boxes next to “Use SSL 3.0” and “Use TLS 1.0.”

Click “OK” to save your settings.

(This won't work on Firefox 27.0.1. Will have to further research this.)

If the your email service still not accepting the password, then there could be some issues with your ISP or your email service provider. In your case, you have a Server Issue!!!!!

My reason for stating this is because there is a possibility that another device could be keeping a constant connection to the server, preventing other devices from connecting to recieve their email. I-phones have a "PUSH" feature which does this if the user doesn't catch it. This can happen if there are users, with I-Phones, that are checking there email using the same service as you.

Here is more information on the "PUSH" feature of the I-Phone.

My recommendation is to CONTACT YOUR INTERNET SERVICE PROVIDER IMMEDIATELY!!!!

DaveC, your problem is completely different to what was raised by the OP. Check this article for more information.

Jeremy, what is the interval you're checking for new mail? You may need to increase it.

If that doesn't help, check with your email provider.
