When my emails load the date shows as mm/dd/yyyy as this is not a format i use how do i change it to dd/mm/yyyy ? I had to reinstall Thunderbird and the date problem has just started from the reinstall.

Thunderbird uses your computer system clock. Go into control panel, time and date settings and look at the date format under Language and Region.
