Edited an email, saved frequently in Drafts folder. Had not sent the message. Restarted computer for an unrelated task, expecting the message to remain in Drafts. Drafts folder is now empty. Any way to recover that message? Is this the anticipated behavior? I have held messages in Drafts folder before for many days, but can't say whether i rebooted the computer during those times. Linux openSuse 13.1, KDE, T-bird 24.3.0 from openSuse repo. Toshiba Satellite notebook.

The message should still be in the drafts folder.

Where is your drafts folder located, local, or on the server (e.g. in case of an IMAP account).

In any case, I'd always use the local drafts folder.
