Tabs, toolbars and everything else gone

more options

Restarted my computer and Firefox tonight. My navigation toolbar in FF is gone, replaced by a little orange rectangle in the upper left corner of my FF window. I can't open new tabs - the orange rectangle insinuates that this is possible, but it actually isn't, as I clicked it several times and no new tabs appeared. All of my tabs are gone. I tried to close one window and FF told me that I had 20 tabs open, none of which are visible. Addresses entered into the address bar do nothing - the page stays the same and does not redirect me.

Firefox is now effectively non-functional. Please advise.

Please update to the current Firefox 30 release.

  • Help > About Firefox

The Firefox version that you currently run is no longer supported with security updates.

  • It is important to update Firefox and add-ons to the latest version to get all security fixes.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

It is possible that your security software (firewall, anti-virus) blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.

Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full, unrestricted, ??acs to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

All right, that brings my tabs back and lets me bring back the menu toolbar.

I have no idea what you're talking about re: the firewall and permissions, sorry.

How do I restore my add-ons from here?

Once see your Add-on's menu, if its is disable means...enable it

              or

Add-ons missed means...again you have to download  !
