Why is Firefox putting a cache folder on my memory stick
Every time I launch Firefox (windows 7) it puts a "Cache" folder on my USB memory stick, if the stick in installed.
Inside the folder is a "Firefox" folder with all sorts of folders under that.
If I close Firefox, I can delete the Cache folder, but it comes back if I relaunch Firefox
I want Firefox to put the Cache on my hard drive, not my USB drive.
Chosen solution
hello gribbled, please try this: enter about:config into the firefox address bar (confirm the info message in case it shows up) & search for the preference named browser.cache.disk.parent_directory - right-click and reset that entry to the default value and restart the browser once.

THANKS! Super quick reply and it instantly solved my problem. I have no idea how the cache got set to the E: drive, but its back to normal now and I hope it will stay that way.
Thanks again!
Note that your System Details list in the first post showed this pref setting:
- browser.cache.disk.parent_directory: E:\Cache\Firefox
