I am still having trouble with Kohls website with the cursor freezing in the "add to bag" box. However, I tried accessing the Kohls website using Internet Explorer (I never use it). Anyway, It worked! Why should it work OK in Internet Explorer and not in Firefox? What should I do now?

Ok, AdBlock Plus is fine, and I'm not sure about the other ones. What I recommend is disabling all of them then visiting the page. (Make sure you restart if you have to to disable addons) Tell us whether the page works after that.

I'm not really having the same problem as you (I went to the Kohl's website and tried to reproduce the problem myself), but this is what you can try:

Clear both cookies and the cache. Note: This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to. To clear cache and cookies do the following:

  1. Click the menu button New Fx Menu, choose History, and then Clear Recent History....
  2. Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
  3. Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
  4. From the details list, check Cache and Cookies and uncheck everything else.
  5. Now click the Clear now button.

Further information can be found in the Clear your cache, history and other personal information in Firefox article.

If you use extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) that can block content (e.g. Adblock Plus, NoScript, Flash Block, Ghostery) then make sure that such extensions aren't blocking content.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

I went to the Extensions section and this is what shows up on my screen:

  ADBLOCK PLUS 2.6.5
  PRIVACY BADGER FIREFOX 0.2.3
  TROUBLESHOOTER 1.1A

None of these are checked off (Options - Remove _Disable)

Should they be?

Did you get my message from this morning about my extension page? I am still waiting to hear from you.

I disabled Privacy Badger and Troubleshooter, then I shut off my computer. Then, I turned it back on and went to Kohls website and tried to order a few sample items just to see what would happen. It finally worked! I was able to add items to "add to bag". I just hope it continues. I have no idea what Privacy Badger and Troubleshooter means, but if it solves the problem, that's good enough for me!
