Running TB 31.2.0 under osx 10.9.5 against an outlook.com imap account. The inbox and folders have all synched correctly, however, my sent items folder which contains 2411 emails refuses to synch. It is trying but very very slowly, approx. 1 email per 2/3 minutes. I did try letting it synch over a few days, but it seems to reset and start again. I tried deleting the database index - same problem. Curiously, the sent folder does contain many, many emails. The last email has date 23/10/2014 and I believe all before that date are in the sent folder correctly. Any ideas please?

You have alot of emails in the Sent folder. As you use IMAP these emails are stored on the server and it is taking up alot of time just to synch them.

As it is awkward - impossible trying to synch that folder, suggest you try this.

Logon to webmail account using a browser. Create some folders eg: Sent 2013, Sent 2014 to help organise and reduce file size. They will be your archive of sent emails. Then move emails as appropriate into those folders.

You can then subscribe to see those folders in Thunderbird if you need to see those emails.
