Can I recover Firefox bookmarks from a screen-damaged Nexus 4?

I cleverly broke the screen on my Nexus 4 lately, so although the phone itself works (and I can connect to view / edit files using a USB cable), I can't do anything that involves using the screen (downloading / running apps, writing etc).

I've now replaced it with a Samsung Galaxy S6 and have installed Firefox browser for mobile, but would love to get my old bookmarks off the Nexus. I hadn't used sync, or any apps to back them up, so I presume my only option is if I can copy across system files.

Is this even possible - and if so, where do I find them? I've located a folder Computer\Nexus 4\Internal storage\Android\data\org.mozilla.firefox, but this doesn't appear to have anything in it (0 files, 2 folders). I'm not very hopeful at this stage, but appreciate any suggestions!

Chosen solution

You would need to root the phone to get access to the bookmarks/history file (browser.db).
