I just installed Windows 10 and I can open a new window of firefox without it crashing but when i open a new tab, it crashes. Every single time. It doesn't do it in safe mode and I tried uninstalling and reinstalling. I also tried to disable all my addons. Here are the last three crash reports. bp-aa822480-d0a3-47a7-8596-8ab002150805 8/5/2015 4:19 PM bp-5ed7ffc3-7f7c-445a-9ab2-b7af42150805 8/5/2015 4:16 PM bp-bb56f345-1f43-4fca-884f-ab34b2150805 8/5/2015 3:46 PM

Chosen solution

That looks like a problem with the graphics display driver.

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"

You need to close and restart Firefox after toggling this setting.

You can check if there is an update for your graphics display driver and check for hardware acceleration related issues.

Known issue with AMD/ATI graphics driver and your graphics card on Windows 10. A possible workaround is to turn off hardware acceleration in Firefox:

  1. Click the menu button New Fx Menu and select Options.
  2. Select the Advanced panel and then the General tab.
  3. Uncheck Use hardware acceleration when available.
  4. Restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.
