After updating firefox, i cant find the option which disables closing tabs by clicking it twice. Keep on closing tabs by accident.

Firefox would normally only close a tab if you middle-click the tab with the mouse wheel. If it happens with a double-click then you may have an extension that provides this feature.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window
