So I'm trying to sync the bookmarks and it is failing every time. I've tried uninstalling the andoird app multiple times but same problem. Look at the photo. I've also enabled sync from android settings > firefox. Device is samsung galaxy s6

Hi meanceslinger,

Did you configure Firefox on your other device(s) to sync bookmarks?

Yes. Sync stopped working after I updated my phone to android marshmallow. It worked earlier

I have the same problem since I updated my phone and tablet to Android 6.0. The problem happens on both. When adding a sync account to mozilla the operation seems successful however the sync operation doesn't complete, the sync options are disabled and the page says "last sync=never".

Update wrt my issue: I have managed to sync my phone successfully over the cellular network disabling the wi-fi connection. After that I created a hotspot with my phone and connected my tablet to the hotspot and the tablet has also synchronised successfully. Returning both devices to the home wi-fi makes them fail again. I have rebooted my router but I can't see any issue with any traffic. Is there a requirement on port forwarding that I need to do on the router to make the synchronisation work? I never had this problem before...

UPDATE: it seems that installing the localgsmprovider (or else) - yes, i use microG with no Gapps.. - solved the problem!

so it might seems as a location related issue.
