I use Firefox 47.0 on OS X El Capitan, 10.11.5. This problem just started happening in the last few days-since I got the update notification. Every time I go to a page I've been before, a 'created bookmark' pop-up appears & I have to click 'remove bookmark' to remove it. If I don't catch it fast enough, it creates a bookmark to the current page, which I then have to go into my bookmark toolbar & delete. At first I thought I may be inadvertently hitting something on my mouse, but I can't find any shortcuts on my mouse for this. I do research & visit pages of the same document many times, but I do not want to bookmark any of them. How do I disable this? Thanks

Hi, Thanks for getting back to me, I did try safe mode, but it didn't help. I think the problem is being caused by my mouse. I've used this mouse for some time now (on my Mac) & never had a problem, but the new Firefox seems sensitive to the 2 side (thumb) buttons, which I never used, and never even knew were there. I must be hitting the rear button as I scroll, as when I hit it on purpose, sure enough that bookmark pop-up appears. So I pulled out the documentation on it & found that it's a Windows 8 mouse that's internally programmed for Start/Desktop switching! So I can't disable them...I think if I buy an Apple approved mouse I'll be fine. But again thanks for your help.

Separate Security Issue: Update your Adobe Reader Version 2015.016.20039 Note: Other Software is offered in the download.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).

Is the problem still there?

Do you have any bookmark add-ons?
