Retrieving restoring Thunderbird profiles from HDD of dead computer. HELP

I have no backups of my profiles and my old windows 10 PC died. Its hard drive is mounted as an external Hard drive now and normally has all the info I need in it to restore the same profiles on the new windows 10 PC. Is there an automatic or step by step way to retrieve the data? PS: I tried running thunderbird from the external drive and it ran as if it was a new install so I had no possibility of locating the old profiles. Thanx for any help. G.
