The thunderbird icon has disappeared from the desktop on the pc. I have located it in programs via the control panel but do not know how to restore it as my default email on the desktop

where you located it, right click and say copy shortcut. Goto the desktop and right click and select paste.

Thank you for getting back on this. I now have the icon up but do not seem to have the previous version of thunderbird with all my emails on it etc. I do have the address book but am not sure if I need to set up a new account as it says there are no previous versions available to restore.
