My emails download but I can't open them. I uninstalled and re-installed TB but the problem did not resolve.

I just re-logged in with my university email because since I can't open any TB emails, I can't confirm my Verizon email address that I use with TB.

I am also getting an error message: Thunderbird has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows swill close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

To diagnose problems with Thunderbird, try the following:

Restart Thunderbird with add-ons disabled (Thunderbird Safe Mode). 'Help'> 'Restart with Add-ons Disabled'. If Thunderbird works like normal, there is an Add-on or Theme interfering with normal operations. You will need to re-enable add-ons one at a time until you locate the offender. If still no joy.... Restart the operating system in 'safe mode with Networking'. This loads only the very basics needed to start your computer while enabling an Internet connection. If it works ok then it is possible another product is causing the problem eg: anti-virus

Toad-Hall - Thank you so much!!! I am up and running in Safe Mode, and am so happy this was such a quick fix. I will play with enabling add-ons when I have time. David
