I just installed the update for Thunderbird. Now I can't get to my email. It always sends me to the Mozilla web site. What's wrong?

When I call up Thunderbird I see the email window for an instant and then I get sent to the Mozilla web site.

Chosen solution

NOTE: The problem seems to have gone away for some mysterious reason. It may have been caused by my calling up Thunderbird when it was already running.
