Only when I run Thunderbird on my desktop do my emails appear read on my phone without myself having read them. The emails are not marked as read on Thunderbird but as unread they only appear read on my phone. This only happens on my desktop not when I leave Thunderbird running on my other computers/laptops only when I leave the desktop Thunderbird on. The accounts are setup as IMAP on all computers and I have reinstalled Thunderbird twice now on my desktop but it still keeps happening any help would be greatly appreciated.

I will guess you are not using IMAP on your desktop, only think you are.
