Apart from Google Safe Browsing, does Firefox use any other safe browsing solution for malware or phishing protection?
If I see Mozilla Firefox documentation, it says it supports Google Safe Browsing[1] for malware or phishing site detection and warning for both Desktop (windows) and Android. My questions are as follows: 1. Does Firefox use any other safe browsing related solution apart from Google Safe Browsing? If yes, which are these? 2. How does mozilla firefox verify the GSB's utility? Is it chosen based on some criteria? 3. Is the GSBv4 is already implemented in Firefox (Mobile & Desktop)? If not, when is the plan to move to GSBv4 since v3 is getting deprecated. 4. How the phishing protection (safe browsing) is different from tracking protection[2]? It mentions that it uses safe browsing service. Is it Mozilla's own solution or some third-party provider? 5. The download protection[3] feature also refers to Google safe browsing. However I could not see any GSB API for download protection in their public documentation. Could you please let me know if this is also part of GSB or some other provider?
I am just trying to study and understand firefox code very recently. Kindly help with the above information.

No one here seems to be able to give an answer maybe you would do better on the main mozilla fora:
