This problem began suddenly with no changes to my system, settings, etc. Every time I click on a new tab and type something in the search bar I get the following message:

"The page isn’t redirecting properly Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies."

The problem is not the cookies. I am accepting them all.

In addition, Firefox always hangs up, stops suddenly, or shows message that it is not responding. It's happening even while I am posting this question. PLEASE HELP SO I DON'T HAVE TO CHANGE BROWSERS!!!!!

Hi lcocumelli

  1. Have you tried disabling all your Firefox add-ons?
  2. If that doesn't work please try Firefox safe mode. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode
  3. If that doesn't work, refreshing Firefox can often fix things (PLEASE do a backup first BEFORE refreshing Firefox):
  4. If that doesn't work, please let us know what you did, what you expected, what happened in more detail (\posting a screenshot always helps!)
