Google Docs Sheets Very Buggy

more options

I've been using FireFox for quite some time with Google Docs Sheets. A number of years. Suddenly it's got buggy. What's buggy? I click in a cell and nothing happens, I move the mouse and suddenly a whole range of cells are selected. It gets worse from there. It's unusable. Impossible to work with. I've tried for a couple of weeks almost and have given up. Works fine in Chrome. No idea how to debug this.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Separate Security Issue, please update your Flash 24.0 r0 by removing it as it is to old to update and possibly have 2 versions installed and will need to do this anyways. Remove it with : https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-mac-os.html Reinstall with Flash Player Version: 30.0.0.113 Current Version https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/ Step 1: Select Operating System Step 2: Select A Version (Firefox, . . . .) Note: Other software is offered in the download. <Windows Only>

Only thing I can think of since have no idea of what add-ons/Extension you are using is that it could be that and to try in Safe Mode to see if that is the issue other than doing a Refresh.as last resort :

In Firefox Safe mode these changes are effective:

  • all extensions are disabled (about:addons)
  • default theme is used (no persona)
  • userChrome.css and userContent.css are ignored (chrome folder)
  • default toolbar layout is used (file: localstore-safe.rdf)
  • Javascript JIT compilers are disabled (prefs: javascript.options.*jit)
  • hardware acceleration is disabled (Options > Advanced > General)
  • plugins are not affected
  • preferences are not affected

TEST''''is issue still there ?

I tried everything suggested with no luck. I uninstalled Flash and tried it without Flash. I installed the new Flash. I ran in Safe Mode. No solution with any of them.

I am having this issue in both Google Docs and Google Sheets and it only seems to happen on Firefox. This is a new development starting in the last couple of weeks.

Whenever I single-click there is a delay. It seems to stay "clicked" as wherever I move the mouse a selection of content is highlighted. Using the keyboard to move around cells in Sheets is also a problem. Both Docs and Sheets are impossible to work with.

I tested this on my Windows 10 machine with the latest version of Firefox and there is no problem there.

I tested on my MacBook Pro and no problems there. So it's something about my desktop iMac.
