Why no 'Inbox' folder in Archives configured to preserve folder hierarchy?
I set up my 3 email accounts to: - archive to the Local Folder Archive folder - use yearly archive folder structure - preserve the folder structure
Before archiving my huge Inbox folder I tested archiving on some folders and subfolders I keep, and that seemed to work well: Tbird created year folders and added folders and subfolders as necessary to archive the messages I had requested. But, when I archived a few older messages in the Local Folder/Inbox, these message were archived into top level year folders instead Inbox subfolders within the year folders .... for example, messages from 2014 went into Local Folder/Archives/2014 .... not Local Folder/Archives/2014/Inbox.
No Inbox folders were created in the year folders. Is that normal behavior? If so, it runs counter to the example given by the dialog displayed when one selects Archive options/yearly folders/keep existing structure.
My config: macOS Sierra, Tbird 52.9.0, all email fetched and deleted from ISP server

The root of the year archive folder is considered the "inbox" for the purpose of the archive.

I kinda thought that might be the answer. The example given by TB's diaglog box when one selects archive options that preserve file hierarchy should probably be changed to conform to what TB actually does with the Inbox. Actually, I wonder why TB doesn't just create an Inbox in each year folder to be consistent with how it treats other folders, such as the Sent folder and any other folders that sit at the same hierarchical level as the Inbox in the Local Folder.
