When I uninstall FF and then reinstall the latest FF 63.0 on the latest Windows 10 Pro, I notice it is added to Control Panel -> Apps -> Apps & Features, but it is NOT listed as a choice under Apps-> Default Apps -> Web Browser or under Default Apps -> Set defaults by app or Default Apps -> Choose default apps by protocol or Default Apps -> Choose default apps by file type. As a result, I am unable to set FF as the default browser.

Did you remove the Mozilla folder as well? Also did you restart your computer after the uninstall?

No, I did not remove any remaining folder. Which one(s) are you referring to? The one under Program Files or the folder containing my preferences, bookmarks, cache, cookies, etc?

No, I did not restart my laptop immediately after the install. It was not needed but the laptop has been restarted since FF was installed.
