A customer has the problem using Thunderbird with WinMACs lawyer software since installing 60.5.2 update today. When he does an attachment within WinMACs and sends it through the Mail button of WinMACs, it will immediatelly get send out without prior showing the mail within Thunderbird, possibly to add text or comments to the attachment.

This function was broken in TB 60.5.2, and there is an active bug report:

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1251452

You can downgrade to 60.5.1 if you wish - the profile folder with all data is not affected.

Are you sure the message actually gets sent through TB and appears in the Sent folder?

We have some reports that re-installing 60.5.2 after an auto-update works: https://www.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/all/

Personally I had to uninstall an unused version of Office to get it to work.

Details for a fix/workaround can be found here: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1530820#c30

Basically Thunderbird need to be properly reinstalled.

Sending files with non-ASCII names may not work. There are two workarounds: Either switch the system code page to UTF-8 (if on Windows 10) or reset HKLM\SOFTWARE\Clients\Mail\Mozilla Thunderbird - SupportUTF8 to 0
