Hi, I've seen this posted before, but the answer doesn't work for me or my computer. when I click on the searchbar to enter a URL, there are four websites that are pinned and have a little grey world symbol with a pin in them. I have not been to those sites in a couple years and they are not the most popular ones i visit. Prior answers have indicated clicking on the 3 dots (ellipses) and unchecking or clicking to Unpin this Tab. None of the four sites are showing as pinned, so it is a different solution.

I am running Firefox 78.0.2 thanks.

Chosen solution

This is about search engines that are pinned to a tile in the Top Sites section on the Firefox Home page.

Did you look at the Firefox Home page (about:newtab or about:home) ?

Thank you!! I had to add Top Sites to my webpage, which i did not previously have, THEN go in and unpin the offending sites. That was not intuitive, but apparently I'd pinned them in the past, which is quite possible. Thanks much.

Others: if you have the problem: click on the 3 lines in upper right of browser screen, select Options>Home, then Firefox Home Content, then enable Top Sites (i picked two rows) and unpin the ones you don't want.

Thanks cor-el
