Trying to import contacts from gmail. Saved them as "Microsoft Excel Comma Separated Values File," which shows up as .csv. Imported them into Thunderbird. Nothing shows up in the address book except the icons, but if you click on a blank line, the addresses are there. I am stuck! Can someone help? Thx! Matt

1000 apologies, but I got it to work, mostly - turned out that I had deleted the header row when I took out the unnecessary columns in the gmail export.

One very minor problem remains, though. The names in the first column (after the generic icons) are preceded by a comma. I assume the comma is an artifact of the csv file. It does not appear to affect performance, but it is disquieting to have something superfluous show up. Any idea how to get rid of it?

TYVM!

Matt
