Email lists not sending
when I select a mailing list in my address book it doesn't open the addresses as it says it should. I just get the list title newsletter share <guilds we share our newsletter with.> then when I hit send it says that's not a valid address.
Chosen solution
version 78.7.0. I assume it is the most up to date version as update it every time it says there is an update. The link notes the problem but the solution doesn't work but I did fix it by deleting the description which someone suggested on an other thread about his problem.

Hello there Shepherdessann.
form
Not a valid email address because it is not of the form user @ host
This article was written for Thunderbird but also applies to Mozilla Suite / SeaMonkey (although some menu sequences may differ).
This error can occur if you try to use non-domain email addresses such as <lastname.firstname> on a corporate Internet. Thunderbird expects the full email address.
The normal solution is to use the Allow Local Addresses extension. That seems like the best solution if your SMTP server is not a normal Internet mail server.
You can also use the configuration editor and set the preference mail.identity.default.autocompleteToMyDomain to true. You can also replace "default" with an identity specification (eg id3) to make settings specific to certain identities

I don't think you are understanding the problem. In the address book you can make lists of email addresses. You give the email address a name and description. Then when you want that group of emails you pick the list and add it to the to line. or the BCC line. then it sends the email to all the people in the list. The problem is it is no longer working. I wouldn't care if I could open it up and copy all the addresses to add them myself but I cant do that. in tthe edit mode it won't let you select all the addresses just add or subtract them form the list. or you can press the write button and it should send the email to everyone in the list. But the list but it doesn't work.

Yes I did that and I found some possible fixes that didn't work and then followed another link from other answers there and found one that did. I removed the description of the list and it started working. it still doesn't open the addresses so you could edit somone out if you wanted too but at least it sends to the list. It is very frustrating when they update the program it makes it stop working properly
Hello there again Sheperdessann..
Correct in the newer versions it has changed as from type version 78.0.
But I can't find that this guest may know a permanent change after your update.
I'll search for you a moment then.

Hello there again. Sheperdessann. Form Address an email message https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/addressing-email Or follow the instructions https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1284138 Greetings Firefox volunteer.
Following these instructions makes a list but t the rest of the instructions do not work. If they did no one would have had a problem in the first place. But that is how it goes sometimes I have fixed it by removing the description from the list. Seems like something that should effect nothing but as long as it works that's great.
