Thunderbird has not accessed my email since 6-17, Today is 6-24. I checked and my email on the internet and all my accounts have current email.

I read a similar request for help but the help given did not help.

What's the authentication method for the gmail account? It should be OAuth2 for incoming and outgoing.

I am set up as pop. I dont know what OAuth2 is so that may well be the problem. How do I do that?

more options

Tools/Account Settings, Server Settings, Authentication method, and also Outgoing Server (SMTP) at the bottom left of Account Settings. Set it to OAuth2, remove passwords from Saved Passwords in Options/Privacy & Security, and also in the same section, accept cookies. Restart TB, enter the account password in the OAuth window when prompted.
