Currently on Windows 10 pro 32-bit OS. I recently upgraded to Thunderbird 91 (im on 91.1.2 currently) and am having trouble with opening attachments not keeping settings. Example: I get emails with excel attachments - xlsx & ods and when i go to open it, I ALWAYS get the dialog box to choose what to do with it. I have it set to open up excel and its checked at the bottom do this automatically for files like this from now on. But yet, it always prompts me. In the Files & Attachments section is shows that its suppose to open up in Thunderbird. On Thunderbird 78, this was a non issue and worked wonderfully.

Things I've tried: Creating a new profile. Deleting the setting in the Files & attachment section of the options menu. Deleting handlers.json and mimetypes that ive found in another forum online. I'm at a loss. It's not the biggest issue but a minor inconvenience to save it and then go open it manually as I was rather fond of the provided option within Thunderbird.

Thanks for your time
