My (used to be) mail computer cannot boot, but I can mount primary drive in a newer computer to copy the email folder. The problem is that Thunderbird on the new computer doesn’t recognize the old messages or the sub-folders that I have set up, in old unit.

I have hundreds of messages that are really, really important to me.

HELP!!!!!!

I would try to copy Thunderbird Profiles folders from the old computer to the new one. Typically it contains not only all of your emails, but accounts information too so this way configuration of Thunderbird on the new computer wouldn't be needed at all. Did this dozens of time, worked almost every time.
